Trying something new - let's see if it works... it should be a slideshow of some of our pictures from Christmas in CT and in GA. Enjoy!! (We'll post more about the last couple of weeks soon!)

Christmas in New England!
Merry (early) Christmas!
We went to CT last weekend to celebrate an early Christmas with Stacie's family. It was really great to see everyone - mom, dad, grandma, Jess, Rob, and Eli all piled into the car and headed out to Trevor, Amy, Olivia, and Sophia's house. The three of us flew up to meet them there. (Can you picture all of the people in the house?!) We had a fantastic time. We were able to spend more time with Trev and Amy and the girls than we have in... well, ever! And we were thrilled to see the carload of the rest of the family once they got there on Saturday. It was Grandma's birthday too, so we were happy to be able to celebrate with her! Amy worked her magic in the kitchen all weekend and we all ate way too much yummy food. It's too bad it all went by so fast and we hope we can see each other again really soon! We took about 1000 pictures, but here are a few!
Olivia loved playing with her new cousin:

Nora loves Aunt Jess!!

Hi Eli!!

4 generations!

Yey, everybody!!

We have more pictures and a few videos to share, but we'll post them later. We want to be sure to post this tonight (sorry for the lag between updates, Pino!) :) :)
We hope you all are well!!

Happy Thanksgiving!
We had a great Thanksgiving! We hope you all did too! We decided at the last minute to hit the road and head to FL to visit Mike, Jenn, and April. We had a great time hanging out and exchanging stories and babies for a few days! :) We need to live closer!
We still had a great Thanksgiving dinner even with 2 little babies. Mike made a great turkey with all the fixings and yummy pumpkin cheesecake... mmm! And somehow we timed it so that both babies were happy enough for us all to eat together!
April's so excited about Thanksgiving:

What?

Laughing Nora!
Not sure who is funnier here, Nora or the daddies?!

Happy Birthdays!!
2 birthdays to celebrate!!
Mike & Jenn's baby girl was born 10/24!! She's adorable, of course!! Here's a picture of the happy new family:

Nora liked looking at pictures of her new friend. (check out how good she's getting at sitting up!) We can't wait to meet her in person!

Stacie had a good start to her birthday week. We had a yummy brunch at Mama's Boy with Amy and Andy. Then we took a walk with Abby, since it was so nice out! In the afternoon we watched the Bills game... and they won, yey!!!! Our plans for dinner out at the sushi restaurant were postponed, since Nora had other plans! Hopefully her bedtime will adjust quickly to the end of daylight savings and we can go out one night this week instead! All in all a nice day!!
Here are some new pictures of Nora. Almost 10 weeks old already, wow!!
We love the hoodie!

Out for a walk in the sling:

I love sitting up now. Look how big my mouth is!

2 months old!
Can you believe it?!
We went for her well-baby visit today and the doctor said she's doing great! She got 4 shots and, other than being mad that they woke her up to give them to her, she didn't do too badly - cried, of course, but she got over it quickly.
Her current stats:
Age - 9 weeks
weight: 11 lbs 6 oz (61st percentile)
height: 24 in. (92nd percentile!)
head circumference: 15.5 inches (62nd percentile)
Here are some new pictures :)
Talking to her friends:

War wounds from the doctor's office today:

Sporting some UGA pride:

Over the river and through the woods...
We took our first road trip this past weekend. Nora did great. We timed it so that she napped as much as possible (meaning we left after her 5:30am feeding, ugh). But it worked! With the extra stops and all it took about an hour longer than usual - not bad!
We had a great time. Chris and Dennis hosted a little party for Nora on Saturday to give some family and friends a chance to meet her. As usual, we had a ton of yummy food and the party was a lot of fun.
Kevin got some big smiles:

Kevin, Janet, Dan, and Chris "enjoying the view":

Then Sunday, we went to Beef O'Brady's to watch the Bills' game... and they won! Woo-hoo! Nora wore her new "Baby Bills Backers" jersey - much too big for her, but so cute!
Ready to go:

Yey, they won!

(Oh, and last week we brought her with us to a Sam Thacker show. Check out a few of his songs in the sidebar if you've never heard of him - he's great! [blatant plug] His first album "Above the Underneath" is on iTunes and the next album will be out soon!)

Pathetically cute
Nora's got her first little cold. Brad was really sick over the weekend, so hopefully she won't get it as bad as him. Since Stacie didn't really get it, Nora should have gotten some good antibodies through the breast milk, so we'll hope for the best. She's really not too bothered by it - just a little sniffly right now, but we had to share these pictures from this morning!
i'm sick!

but not too bothered by it!

It was a long night...
...of SLEEP!
We just updated the site last night, but we have to post again today because NORA SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT LAST NIGHT!!!!! Woo-hoo!!!
It was just one night, we'll see if she keeps this up, but we were thrilled! We swaddled her to go to sleep when she was first born, but stopped when she was about 2 weeks old and strong enough to break out of it easily. She's been sleeping pretty well, but flails a lot and always wakes herself up. Last night we decided to try it again in a slightly different way (thanks for the book, Josh and Amy!). We finished swaddling her and just laid her down to see how long it took her to break out (since we were sure she would). She started closing her eyes! We popped a paci in her mouth and she was out! We just laughed in disbelief! We moved her to her crib, she barely stirred, and she slept ALL NIGHT!!! We woke up more than she did! Let's hope this keeps working! YEY!!!

Waking up is hard to do!
(Nora 5 1/2 weeks old)
We're doing well here. Nora is almost 6 weeks old now and changing everyday. At her check up last week she weighed 10lbs 5 oz and was 23 inches long. The doctor said she's doing great! :)
This video was taken when she was 4 weeks old - it was the first night we had happy noises - almost like laughs! She was quieting down by the time we got the camera, but you get the idea!

Nora's Welcome Video
We made this little video for Nora documenting her grand entrance into the world and thought we'd share it - enjoy!
She laughed!
Nora has started smiling on purpose for the past few days, which has been a lot of fun for us! Then last night when we were getting ready to change into pjs, she laughed! Ok, so it's more like a big smile with a coo, but it counts in our book! :)

Pictures from Grandparents' visits
We had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa "S" and Great-Grandma Rice. They fell in love with Nora, of course, and she really seemed to like spending time with them. Here are some of the pictures from the visit. (We're posting lots of pictures, so they're a little smaller than usual - Click on them to see them bigger.)
Checking her out

4 generations! :)

Another disappointing Bills game - but they're cute!

Hi Grandma Rice!

Cozy time with Grandpa

Grandma's in love!

First trip to the Botanical Gardens

and Grandma and Grandpa "B" stopped in for lunch on their way back to FL from NY!

So, after having lots of fun with grandparents over the past week, it's back to "normal" around here. We hope you're all doing well! We love you!

Go Bills!!
So, it's taken us a few days to catch up with posting pictures... can't imagine why?! :) But, here we go - it's been a fun week!
Nora has a belly button! At just 1 week old, that yucky umbilical cord stump fell off and soon after, she had her first full bath - which she LOVED. Here's a picture of her all cozy and all clean!

Grandma and Grandpa "B" came back to visit for the weekend and we had a good time with them. Here's a picture with Grandma from this visit. Somehow we didn't get a picture with Grandpa, so we're posting one from the hospital. :)

Abby and Aengus had a great time playing during this visit too! Here is a picture of one of their rare "fight" breaks.

Go Bills!! Nora experienced her first Bills game - a disappointing last second loss... get used to it Nora, it's not easy being a Bills fan! Here are a couple of pictures of her in her Buffalo Bills onesie :)

Grandma and Grandpa "S" and Great-Grandma Rice are coming in from NY this weekend to meet Nora and visit for a few days. We're all very excited!!
