Mother's Day!

So, the post is a bit late, but we had a great first Mother's Day! Stacie's mom and grandma came to visit for the weekend and got to see Nora for the 3rd time ever! We had a great visit and had a great 4 generation Mother's Day. Started the day with breakfast at Mama's Boy then off to Ikea! Yey!

Yey, Brad got a job!!!!

We're so excited!! Brad got a job through the PMF program! Thank God! YEY, Brad!!
He's going to be working with the Minerals Management Service, which is part of the Department of the Interior. This means we'll be moving (sometime over the summer, not sure when) to the D.C. area! Fortunately, MMS is just outside of D.C., so we can live in Virginia and not have to commute in! Looks like we'll be moving to the Herndon, VA area... We're so excited!! If Stacie can get a job too, we'll actually have 2 non-grad-student-stipend incomes for the first time ever! Woo-hoo! :)
We can't wait to take a trip up there soon to check the place out and look for houses (yikes!). Hopefully we'll be able to do that soon.
So, Stacie officially resigned this week. She had told her principal that she would likely be resigning, but we (and he) and really hoped to be able to do it before now. But, things work out the way they do for a reason! It'll be sad for her to leave her "kids" at that school, but she's very excited about the change!

Sorry we haven't posted in a couple of weeks! It's amazing how time flies!

We had a great visit a couple of weeks ago with Grandma and Grandpa B and Aunt Kathy! Aunt Kathy drove back from NY with Chris to meet Nora and spend some time in FL for a couple of weeks. We had lots of fun!

Nora has moved up to the "Walkers" room at daycare! It was long overdue, but still hard on us all to deal with. She's just too mobile and strong for the tiniest baby room now and was potentially dangerous to the teeny-tinys! (She has the nickname "bulldozer" at home!) So, now she's a little fish again. She's the youngest in her new class, but she seems to be adjusting to it. :) We can still check in on her with the webcam, so that's good!

Brad's been interviewing a lot and is on a sampling trip on Sapelo Island right now. Busy, busy! We're praying for some good job news soon!

Stacie's nearing the end of the school year, but because of the late start in her district (building construction), there are still 4 weeks left with students. Doesn't sound to bad to all of you up North, but we're usually done by Memorial Day around here, so it seems long to us!

Nora got a 3rd tooth yesterday! It's just barely through (top right), but enough that she can grind it on the bottoms ones (yucky!) She was playing with it this way at dinner last night - hopefully the novelty of that wears off soon! It looks like the other one on the top is on it's way too!

Grandma S and Grandma Rice are coming this weekend!! Yey! We're very excited to see them! When we planned the trip, we didn't even realize it would be Mother's Day while they're here - cool!

Well, enough for now, I guess. Just going to share a funny video, though. Nora had a little taste of ice cream recently... yummy, but man, is it cold!!
