2 months old!

Can you believe it?!
We went for her well-baby visit today and the doctor said she's doing great! She got 4 shots and, other than being mad that they woke her up to give them to her, she didn't do too badly - cried, of course, but she got over it quickly.
Her current stats:
Age - 9 weeks
weight: 11 lbs 6 oz (61st percentile)
height: 24 in. (92nd percentile!)
head circumference: 15.5 inches (62nd percentile)

Here are some new pictures :)

Over the river and through the woods...

We took our first road trip this past weekend. Nora did great. We timed it so that she napped as much as possible (meaning we left after her 5:30am feeding, ugh). But it worked! With the extra stops and all it took about an hour longer than usual - not bad!
We had a great time. Chris and Dennis hosted a little party for Nora on Saturday to give some family and friends a chance to meet her. As usual, we had a ton of yummy food and the party was a lot of fun.

Kevin got some big smiles:

Then Sunday, we went to Beef O'Brady's to watch the Bills' game... and they won! Woo-hoo! Nora wore her new "Baby Bills Backers" jersey - much too big for her, but so cute!

Ready to go:

Yey, they won!

(Oh, and last week we brought her with us to a Sam Thacker show. Check out a few of his songs in the sidebar if you've never heard of him - he's great! [blatant plug] His first album "Above the Underneath" is on iTunes and the next album will be out soon!)

Pathetically cute

Nora's got her first little cold. Brad was really sick over the weekend, so hopefully she won't get it as bad as him. Since Stacie didn't really get it, Nora should have gotten some good antibodies through the breast milk, so we'll hope for the best. She's really not too bothered by it - just a little sniffly right now, but we had to share these pictures from this morning!

i'm sick!

but not too bothered by it!

It was a long night...

...of SLEEP!
We just updated the site last night, but we have to post again today because NORA SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT LAST NIGHT!!!!! Woo-hoo!!!
It was just one night, we'll see if she keeps this up, but we were thrilled! We swaddled her to go to sleep when she was first born, but stopped when she was about 2 weeks old and strong enough to break out of it easily. She's been sleeping pretty well, but flails a lot and always wakes herself up. Last night we decided to try it again in a slightly different way (thanks for the book, Josh and Amy!). We finished swaddling her and just laid her down to see how long it took her to break out (since we were sure she would). She started closing her eyes! We popped a paci in her mouth and she was out! We just laughed in disbelief! We moved her to her crib, she barely stirred, and she slept ALL NIGHT!!! We woke up more than she did! Let's hope this keeps working! YEY!!!

Waking up is hard to do!

(Nora 5 1/2 weeks old)

We're doing well here. Nora is almost 6 weeks old now and changing everyday. At her check up last week she weighed 10lbs 5 oz and was 23 inches long. The doctor said she's doing great! :)

This video was taken when she was 4 weeks old - it was the first night we had happy noises - almost like laughs! She was quieting down by the time we got the camera, but you get the idea!
