We're so excited!! Brad got a job through the PMF program! Thank God! YEY, Brad!!
He's going to be working with the Minerals Management Service, which is part of the Department of the Interior. This means we'll be moving (sometime over the summer, not sure when) to the D.C. area! Fortunately, MMS is just outside of D.C., so we can live in Virginia and not have to commute in! Looks like we'll be moving to the Herndon, VA area... We're so excited!! If Stacie can get a job too, we'll actually have 2 non-grad-student-stipend incomes for the first time ever! Woo-hoo! :)
We can't wait to take a trip up there soon to check the place out and look for houses (yikes!). Hopefully we'll be able to do that soon.
So, Stacie officially resigned this week. She had told her principal that she would likely be resigning, but we (and he) and really hoped to be able to do it before now. But, things work out the way they do for a reason! It'll be sad for her to leave her "kids" at that school, but she's very excited about the change!

I am in a wedding this weekend for my girlfriend - she and her husband to be are in Vienna, VA. Sounds like a cool place to be! Congrats!!
ReplyDelete(Also supposed to visit Uncle in DC and Cousin in Baltimore- may have to see if you are there!
Hey Stacie -- I was emailing my friend in Northern VA who is moving to Athens and giving her your email address when I decided to check in to see if you were going to DC - and you are! You two can give each other all kinds of information. how funny. Congrats on the new job. DC is lots of fun. We were in Annandale, but we know lots about the entire area. We know all the good things to do with kids, too. It's too bad this didn't happen a few years sooner so we'd be there at the same time!
